In-keeping with Navy & Marine Corps comradery, veteran owned businesses GAFASTA and Betty Carry LLC have collaborated in bringing to Greater North Fulton Chamber (GNFCC) members and their families an opportunity to partake in a Basic Pistol Course offered at a discount price of $175.00 per two students beginning May 2021 and ending December2021 (See Course dates and times listed below.) Please note that each class is limited to six (6) students (total 3 couples or “pairs”) in order to maintain the integrity of a small, private group with a low instructor-to-student ratio.
(Students must be 18-years old and have a valid state ID or student ID to register.)
This two-hour Basic Pistol Course is designed to introduce students to basic firearms knowledge such as safe gun handling & marksmanship fundamentals that include dominant eye, sight alignment-sight picture, nomenclature, grip, stance, trigger control, trigger reset, and loading & unloading with dummy rounds.
The course will be held at GAFASTA's 80-acre firearms training facility, beginning with safe gun handling and marksmanship fundamental demonstrations and student practical applications in the classroom, followed by student live fire practice on our outdoor range. Note: the only shooters on this range will be those in your GNFCC Basic Pistol Course in that this range is a private range and not open to the public.
Upon successful completion of this Basic Pistol Course students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

A.L.I.V.E. stands for Assess, Leave, Impede, Violence, and Expose. These are the steps that anyone can take to more effectively respond should you ever be confronted with an active shooter situation, terrorist attack, violent attacker in the workplace, and other potentially deadly events.

The mission of the A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training program is to educate every person on how to increase their chance of survival when facing an active killer, by implementing the 5-steps of A.L.I.V.E. learned through either in-person or online training.

You should be able to go to work, send your kids to school or take college classes yourself, enter a government building or healthcare facility, attend your place of worship, go to the movies, go shopping at the mall, or see your favorite band play without being afraid for your life. However, our society is becoming increasingly violent and less than 5% of Americans have taken any form of active shooter survival training.
How prepared are you if violence suddenly forces itself into your world?
No one should have to worry about not seeing their loved ones at the end of the day because some coward decides to take their inability to cope with the world they’ve created, out on innocent people in the form of mass killing. Yet right now, TODAY, this is a fear that many Americans must live with daily and to me, is unacceptable!

"My name is Liz Moreno.… about three years ago you came in and gave us your A.L.I.V.E. training course… but I never in a million years thought I’d have to use it.
On October 1st I was in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest Festival... when all of a sudden I heard what sounded like firecrackers… Everyone immediately got down in a big pile… in that very second… your training popped into my head. I told my boyfriend, “We need to leave!”
I truly believe taking your training is what told me to make that decision and say without a doubt that we have to run, which ultimately saved us. Had we stayed there we may have gotten shot, trampled or who knows what.
Liz Moreno, A.L.I.V.E. Training Student
